WORLD OZONE DAY

The International Day for the Preservation of the Ozone Layer also known as The World Ozone Day was celebrated by the students of Bhavans public School on September 21st 2021. The day was observed to spread awareness about the role of ozone layer for sustaining life on Earth and the need to preserve it.  This year’s theme for the International Day for the Prevention of the Ozone Layer is “Keeping us, our food, and vaccines cool.” The virtual assembly organized by the students of Grade IV started off with prayer and welcome speech. It was followed by an informative video Presentation to reiterate to the students that life is not possible on Earth without the ozone layer.   The students displayed the posters quoting a slogan to protect the Ozone shield. They took an oath to join hands to protect Ozone layer and save earth. The class teacher Ms.Sowmya Sanish explained the reason behind observing the world ozone day. The Headmistress, Ms.Shailaja Krishnakumar applauded the students for conducting a well-organized assembly. She highlighted the importance of the day and the role of the students in contributing towards protecting and preventing the ozone layer from depletion. The assembly ended by playing the National Anthem.
