Teachers’ Day was celebrated to commemorate the contributions of Dr. S Radhakrishnan, who was a profound teacher and an educationalist. Indian Cultural Centre (ICC) celebrated this year’s Teachers’ Day with full zeal and enthusiasm. The day was to bestow tributes to Dr. S Radhakrishnan. Eminent personalities from all the walks of life graced the occasion. ICC President Mr. P.N Baburajan, Chief Guest of the Day Mr. S. Xavier Dhanaraj, First Secretary – Embassy of India – Qatar and Mr. R. Seetharaman CEO – Doha Bank adorned the occasion with their valuable presence.
Bhavans’ Public School had an astounding presence in the event. Principal Mr. M.P Philip, Mrs. Vichithra V.R (Academic Coordinator), Mr. Shaijumon (Activity Coordinator), Mrs. Animol Thankappan (Dept. of Mathematics), Mr. Rahim Akkara (Dept. of Social Science), and Mr. Aljo John (Dept. of English) were lauded for their exceptional contributions for the student community. Master Shrey Ajay Bhatt of class XII A and Mr. Aljo John, Teacher of English with their peroration aroused a sense of gratitude towards the teaching fraternity.The day had an emotional and a recreational touch.
Mrs. Bama Ravi was bestowed with Teachers Appreciation Award as a Teachers of Outstanding Merit by the Indian Embassy on the Occasion of teacher’s day. She received the Award from the Hon’ble Ambassador of India to Qatar Dr. Deepak Mittal.
