To educate all to work together to strengthen peace and promote unity, the Bhavan’s Public school celebrated the day on 9th September 2019 with great gusto. The students organized an assembly with various events including a reflective speech, short skit and a silvery song. The event ended with lighting of candle as a symbol of spreading peace. Focusing on the theme- ‘Climate action for peace’. The highlight of the programme was the video presentation based on the topic -International Day of Peace. The picture presentation of some of the famous Nobel Prize winners urged everyone to imbibe their values like love, harmony and non-violence and to become instruments of peace in their homes and surroundings. The Principal Mr. M.P. Philip addressed the students. His message was based on the famous quote World peace begins with inner peace. Vice principal, Mr.Dharmaraj Kumar kindled the thoughts of the students by asking them to be the champion of peace and truth.Ms.Shailaja Krishnakumar reminded the students to read the books of Mahatma Gandhi to imbibe the spirit of peace.Ms. Asha Shiju urged the students to involve in social works that would help to build a better society.
