To mark the birthday of Swami Vivekananda, National Youth Day was celebrated in all the three campuses of Bhavan’s Public School with zest and fervour. The day highlighted and recalled the thoughts and valid contributions propagated by Swami Vivekananda. The program commenced with the invocation of the almighty and was followed by speeches and power point presentation on the teachings and ideas of Swami Vivekananda. At Wakra Campus Principal Mr.M.P.Philip inaugurated the digital magazine created by the students of class VIII B under the supervision of their class-in-charge Mr.Vijeesh Vijayan and also thanked and praised the students and teachers for the role they have played to materialize the dream of a digital magazine. In his address, he stressed and encouraged the students to exert more efforts to maintain the academic excellence with the principles of Swami Vivekananda, such as ‘Self-discipline, Self-confidence and Self-esteem. Headmistress Mrs Shailaja KrishnaKumar in her address stressed the importance of inculcating moral values. At Matar Campus Master Leo from grade 6 portrayed Swami Vivekananda and delivered excerpts of his speech at Chicago. Students also presented an action song that conveyed the message of Peace. Friendly football match was played by students of Grade 6.Headmistress.Mrs.Asha Shiju urged the students to have no fear and be heroes in inspiring others.
