International Day of Non-violence was celebrated in all the three campuses of Bhavan’s Public School with zest and favour on 2nd October 2017. Special assemblies were held in all the campus. Patriotic songs were sung by the well groomed school choir. Dance drama, Quiz, drawing and writing activities were also conducted in which the students were urged to dive in the life of the great Leader. The impersonated Gandhi and the Gandhians displayed with patriotism skits which gave the students a deep insight into the life of Gandhi. The morals depicted by the three wise monkeys inspired them to speak no evil, hear no evil and see no evil. Students at New Salata Campus were given a taste of cooperation and sense of involvement when they enacted the Dandy March with in the campus The sixth graders at Matar Campus spoke to all junior students in the campus about Peace and vowed to be the Brand Ambassadors of Non-Violence which transcended far beyond the celebrations.. Principal Mr.M.P.Philip marshalled the students to the rays of Indian History through his enlightening words and emphasized them to idolize the principles of Gandhi’s life. Headmistress, Mrs. Shailaja Krishnakumar and Mrs. Asha Shiju in their address to students gave a deep insight into the life of Gandhi and encouraged them to strive hard to inculcate the values of non-violence and truth and imbibe his lifestyle.
