To draw attention to the health hazards of tobacco, Bhavan’s Public School observed ‘World No Tobacco day’ on 31st May with much enthusiasm and fervour. A special assembly was conducted in all three campuses which depicted the gruesome facts of tobacco through speech, skit and a thought provoking mime. An awareness drive was initiated and executed in the campus in which students doled out the badges to the staff which went a long way to highlight the urgent need to shun the habit of using tobacco for a healthier future. The assembly ended on a promising note with a No tobacco pledge taken by the students and staff to promote and encourage the common public to reduce or stop the use of tobacco or its products consumption. Principal Mr.M.P.Philip and Headmistress Mrs Shailaja KrishnaKumar and Mrs.Asha Shiju sensitized the students to be well-founded and prepared to fight to curb the tobacco use.
