A felicitation concourse was summoned to honour the legend of folk-song Sri C J Kuttapan who is also the Chairman of Kerala Folklore Academy. Principal Mr M.P.Philip warmly welcomed the guests. The chief guest interacted with the students for an hour and enthralled the audience with his exceptional rendition. He taught the students the basic raga of folk songs and also told them how to compose songs according to the beats. Folk-songs depict the subtle nuances of rustic life in an alluring oral tradition. The Chief Guest orated widely on the unexplored avenues of folk art.Director Administration Mrs Anjana Menon presented the memento to the guest.
