To celebrate the unscripted and unstoppable ‘Girl Force’, Bhavans celebrated International Girl Child day on 30th September. The students organized an assembly with various events including a reflective speech, group song, deeply moving dance drama and exhibiting placards. The Principal M.P.Philip gave a powerful speech on gender-based violence and significance of protecting and educating the girl child. The Vice Principal Mr.Dharmaraj Kumar quoted “If we unleash the potential of the world’s girls and young women, we will unleash a powerful force that will bring lasting change to all corners of the globe”. The Headmistress Mrs.Shailaja Krishnakumar emboldened the students to stand with the girls as they inspire and take charge of their future. The Headmistress, Mrs. Asha Shiju urged all girls to amplify their voices to stand up for their rights, empower and inspire themselves. The International Day of the Girl Child is observed to promote the gender equality, women empowerment, women high quality of life and much more to encourage the women of the society. Let us recognise the importance of their existence and motivate them for the future achievement.
