With great reverence and fervor, Bhavan’s Public School celebrated the birth anniversary of the Nobel Laureate, Rabindranath Tagore on 13th May 2019.
The students paid tribute to the great poet by giving a brief account of his life and works followed by reciting his poem, translated into Malayalam, in a harmonious voice and singing beautiful verses from his collection of poems, “Gitanjali”.
Principal, Mr.M.P.Philip stated that his elegant prose and poetry inspires all of us. The unique style of Tagore won him the Nobel Prize in literature in1913.
Speaking on the occasion, Vice Principal, stressed on the need of value education and adjured the English department teachers to encourage students to teach a few verses from Gitanjali.
Head Mistresses, Ms.Shylaja Krishnakumar and Ms. Asha Shiju applauded the effort of the participants, teacher and the Activity Coordinators for bringing out the essence of the programme.
