“Travel is to inspire and to be inspired.” With this thought, the ‘World Tourism Day’ celebration triggered at Bhavan’s Public school on 24th September 2018. A special assembly was conducted with great zest and gusto, by the students, along with a bunch of activities highlighted the theme “tourism and cultural protection”. Beautifully dressed in traditional attires of Qatar and India, students showcased the culture of both the countries. A short quiz program along with a few pictures of famous tourist spots all over the world was held. An Indian folk dance of Rajasthan on the melody Kalbeliya…. was mesmerizing. Principal Mr.M.P.Philip pinpointed the advantages, relevance and special features of tourism. The vice principal said that travels and journeys expand the human mind. MS. Shailaja KrishnaKumar retorted that tourism is an emerging industry worldwide. Ms. Asha Shiju encouraged the students to learn and respect the cultural aspects. This special assembly enjoined the students to familiarize with the topic “Travel and Tourism” positively.
