Bhavan’s Public School celebrated World Environment Day on 5th June with gaiety and grace in all three campuses. A special morning assembly was organized to mark the day in exuberance. The programme began with a special Vandana, a tribute to mother Earth prepared by the school choir group. Many cultural programmes were prepared by the students that included a speech on the topic, also a skit in which was an interesting display on the theme ‘Connecting People to Nature’ and was followed by the planting of saplings in the garden. The Earth Anthem was sung beautifully by the students, showcasing care and responsibility towards Mother Earth and reaffirming our commitment to nurture a better planet. In collaboration with Al Misnad Galfar group, a tree plantation drive and painting competition was conducted in the Matar campus to take forward the call to protect the earth. Principal Mr M.P.Philip,HeadMistress Mrs Shailaja KrishnaKumar and Mrs Asha.Shiju in their message encouraged students  to be eco-friendly and to promote harmony with earth by ‘Reuse Reduce and Recycle’ and planting more trees. Also highlighted the need of conservation and the importance of connecting people to nature through ‘Save paper- Save tree’ and suggested to save the environment through a paper drive in the campus.
